I lately had funny moment with Bengu. It was late evening and action film in TV. Then there is on woman crying and screaming loud in hands of criminal.
Bengu, very sleepy, jumping up from bed, going to TV, listening – and I see how her thighs shaking from hearing someone crying for help, terrible screams.
Then she turned to me like saying: there is one need help desperately and you are lying here like nothing happens – I was just die to laughing.
She was yet restless quite a while. And she is kinda brave one, lets say so, she act like she has sea up to chest, but how’s she now got “bunny into pants” – I have no idea :)
Writing few words of Swedish Sighthound Specialty Show in Tammsvik, 26.07.2014.
Year 2014 have been for us seeing breed in different parts of Europe so we did last minute decision to visit the specialty show in Sweden to see the breed there, especially as we knew that Sire of our next litter – Halo, CH Polo’s T’Kabik Sensation planning to go there too.
With great difficulties to find someone to stay in our home and take care of our dogs so that we both can go – heartfelt thanks goes to our daughter. Luck was all by our side as we literally got ferry tickets, car place and cabin where dogs allowed on ferry in last minute. Then also hotel in Sweden, not far from show site.
Luck seemed to turn away when it was +30C (86ºF)… Continue reading

8th Afghan Hound World Congress Specialty Shows were held 2-3.05.2014 in Padenghe, Italy, organized by Italian breed club A.I.A.L.A
May 2nd was judged by Mrs Carol Reisman, USA (kennel Kai)
May 3rd was judged by Mrs Colleen Khouri. AUS (kennel Quom)
115 entries.
Show was very well organized, what I liked a lot was that every dog was moving in one by one – great possibility to introduce and move. I know it is not time for this in ordinary shows, but this was nice, to show and also to see dogs as first impression.
Ring was large, and that is true that I haven’t seen any better one than in Finnish SAFA specialty, still it was large. Weather showed its ugliest by raining whole first day. And it was not warm of course. I felt sorry for all that loss of glory and spirit of specialty but none can guarantee the weather…
Also what was nice the brake time between male and female rings was comfortably long.
My only critics was the lack of information before shows, like when allowed to come and set up the tents, when we were driving there day earlier, was no tents and when we arrived almost as first ones very very early at morning, there was all places taken.
But lets take all by order. Waking up very very early this morning, we were hoping to arrive earliest possible because we knew previously there is quite a not parking lot and also worrying because our van too big we did not want take risk that we stay off some hours and need to carry stuff in rain.
Thought I write a bit longer of our trip to Italy. The Afghan Hound World Congress and Specialty shows were held at beginning of May in beautiful lakeside of Padenghe sul Garda.
First we was so hard trying to plan to go one international show before and another one after the time in Italy, but unfortunately one of us did not have possible to have holiday enough days. So it turned out fast driving there and fast driving back. And after many years it happened so that I was only driver in van so it took days driving and nights in hotel.
We had only 2 dogs with us, Lilli – CH Al Khabara Graceful Me and Bengu – CH Al Khabara Guess I’m Amazing – both have been travelling a lot since young age so both were very excited like always when we start pack the van and load the crates, show tent, chairs and luggage, they know exactly that something exciting is in the air! Our dogs are used to travel and they have very comfortable large travelling crates with foam bottoms therefore large room to strech and sleep securely.
The route was via Poland- Czech- then Linz and Innsbruck in Austria and then Bolzano to Moniga del Garda in Italy.
We had great day at Tartu Iternational Show at 2.11.2013, here is results:
Bengu, CH Al Khabara Guess I’m Amazing took Champion Class, Best Bitch, Best Opposite Sex, and CACIB
Maasu, CH Al Khabara Grace Of Love took Open Class and placed Best Bitch 2 and res-CACIB after her sister Bengu. Well done sisters, taking attention it was very first indoor show for Maasu, she wondered the place but enjoyed the moving with pride and joy! And move they got enough, many rings a round and still neither of these sisters gave up in condition, well done girls! (and their handlers Alex and Carolin of course;)
Both- Bengu and Maasu got reqognized by their breed typical movements and beautiful heads aswell their little sister Entel – Al Khabara Easy Breezy Me who took Junior Class , JCAC, JBOS and finished her EST JCH title.

Bengu – EST CH Al Khabara Guess I’m Amazing finished today at All Breed Show in Rakvere!
She is second from our G-litter to finish the title. Like her sister Lilli, also Bengu has now two titles to apply for confirmation: Estonian and Lithuanian Champion.
Way to go Bengu – now showing in champion classes in this coming summer!
Well, and today when I asked one beautiful stacking photo after show of Bengu at outdoor, because there was not good lights nor place for taking pics and it was so nice sunny springy day – this is what I found from camera, so it going to be a very unusual way of celebration of Bengu’s title.
Enjoy the photos:
Lilli took GROUP 3 and BEST OF BREED !!!
Entel BEST OF BREED PUPPY !
Great weekend in Lithuania, there was two international shows at same weekend at 2-3.03.2013, first day it was Lithuanian Winner -2013 show and at Sunday it was Vilnius Cup-2013.
Again, like day earlier, our team was represented by three Al Khabara Afghan Hounds:
Lilli (JCH Al Khabara Graceful Me) and
Bengu (JCH Al Khabara Guess I’m Amazing) – both again in open class
and little Entel (Al Khabara Easy Breezy Me) in Puppy class.
First of ours one to step into spotlight was Entel in to Puppy class.Like day earlier, Entel got a very nice experience from judge Mr Željko Žilnik from Croatia. Entel loved to show and move and she achieved Best Female Puppy in breed aswell Best of Breed Puppy in breed award.
Entel pictured at left.
So Entel goes to big BIS Puppy ring also today evening. Such a good experience for her!
And now it was time for Lilli and Bengu to get prepared for their presence. In they went with pride and joy, as you can see from these photos:
NEW Title for Lilli ! LITHUANIAN WINNER -2013!
What a great weekend we had in Lithuania!
This is going to be long story, be prepared to stay with us for reading and lot photos;)
Two international shows, Lithuanian Winner-2013 and Vilnius Cup -2013 was held at 3-4.03.2013 in Vilnius. Our team was represented by young sisters Lilli (JCH Al Khabara Graceful Me) and Bengu (JCH Al Khabara Guess I’m Amazing) and little Entel (Al Khabara Easy Breezy Me) in Puppy class.
At first day there was Lithuanian Winner-13 show where BOB and BOS winners get country winner titles – the most important show held once in year in each country.
Lilli and Bengu were both entered into open class because they just lately got 2 years old. For Entel it was very first travelling so far as 10 hours in bus.
She did do great and enjoyed whole trip.
Entel is from our E-litter whose puppy class age have been from January to March so they unfortunately have not yet much experience like our previous litter who had whole summer full of outdoor shows and travels.
So we had no idea how Entel performing when I entered to ring with her. We were not only ones with Entel, we had competition as well! Maybe I was more concerned than Entel itself – she was stoic calm and enjoyed to meet judge, I must say meet judges, because there was also a exercise judge in ring so she got double examination. And if one might perhaps think if I was really concerned if I win or not then you are wrong- I was concerned and hopnig that Entel get nice experience at judge examination in first order and she did – both judges were so gentle handed experts, great pleasure and great experience for Entel!
First Entel did not understand anything about moving around she just tried to follow me, such a baby yet, but then she got it and we went all the way smoothly and nicely.
Great shownews from Lithuania for our Morris and Bengu!
